Shanandolan “Shan” Ward
A Dallas, Texas native and Worship Leader. When inspired by watching her mother perform, she began to develop her vocal acuity, to her developmental training at the prestigious Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, and on to her training at Cedar Valley College, where she earned a degree in Commercial Music Performance. It was at Dallas Christian College where she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Worship Arts Music Ministry. Shanandolan received her Master’s degree in Worship Leadership from Dallas Baptist University. Shanandolan has performed alongside many of music’s legends, including Josh Groban, Take 6, Kirk Whalum, Wayman Tisdale and others. Shanandolan was included in the top 200 finalists of the 7th season of American Idol and was in the top 20 on season 4 of BET’s Kirk Franklin- hosted Gospel competition, Sunday’s Best. Shanandolan counts her amazing husband Phillip R. Ward II, son Jeremiah Ward and daughter Nayomi Ward as her biggest inspirations, and the fulfillment of the promises of hope and a future. With all she has accomplished, she continues to follow her personal mission of “Eternally Worshipping God/Forever Worshipping God Daily”, by serving as Worship Leader at Compass Christian Church - Colleyville.
Phillip “PJ” Ward II
Phillip Ward II, more commonly referred to as “PJ”, is a native of Los Angeles, CA but grew up here in Dallas, TX. Although he is the son of a pastor, he never originally had any desire to go into ministry or follow in his father's footsteps. After a rough start to college that left him struggling to find who he was and who God was to him, he transferred to Dallas Christian College to live his dream of playing college basketball. It was there he found his true passion and purpose and left with a calling on his life to serve God in ministry through teaching and preaching.
Now entering his 10th year of ministry, he is currently serving as Teaching and Young Adult Pastor at Destiny Worship Center Christian Church in Lancaster, TX under his Father, Dr. Phillip R. Ward Sr. He is living proof that God can take an absolute mess and make it into a miracle! It is his life’s calling to help people realize and walk in their God-given purpose through a dynamic and transformative Word. PJ is a 2012 graduate of DCC, where he met and married the love of his life and his college sweetheart, Shan. They have an incredible 8 year old son, Jeremiah, and a breathtaking 4 year old daughter, Nayomi.
