Baptism Week
Mar. 27, 2022
I remember February 4, 1977, like it was yesterday. I was 10 years old, and I attended Wednesday night Church like I always did every week with my family. But this night was different. This night would be special. It was the night I would step forward on my own volition and accept Christ as my Savior and be baptized. I wish I could tell you what the message was about; I seriously can’t remember. But I will never forget walking down into the water and submitting my life to Jesus. It was a moment that still today is frozen in time for me.
Baptism is a special moment in the life of every Christ Follower, which is why I decided to write you today. We will be celebrating Baptism Week at Compass. The event kicks off on Sunday night, March 27 with our Rooted Celebration at our North Fort Worth Campus. If you are a Rooted Graduate for this session and would like to be baptized, this is your night. Be prepared for a life-changing celebration!
Baptism Week will continue the following Thursday, March 31 in Colleyville & Sunday, April 3 on all of our physical campuses. The message will focus on each of us making a decision for Jesus. Our team will be ready with everything you need to follow through on your decision to be baptized.
Why are we calling it Baptism Week? Well, you can literally
sign up to be baptized any day of the week, Monday-Sunday, from March 27 - April 3. Simply go to compass.church/decision or text BaptismWeek to 94000 to schedule your baptism for this very special week in the life of our church.
So, what about you? Have you ever been immersed in the waters of baptism? Is this a decision you’ve wanted to make but, for whatever reason, have been putting off? Let’s make this happen, friend!
Maybe you know someone who needs to make this decision….perhaps a family member, a friend, or a co-worker. Why not encourage them to embrace this opportunity?
Have more questions, check out our FAQ.
If you’re ready to schedule your baptism, do not hesitate.
I can’t wait for this special week. Love you guys!
