Important Update from Pastor Drew Regarding Weekend Services

Jun. 26, 2020

Hey Compass Family!

Like you might've guessed, your leadership team at Compass been watching the new developments in COVID-19 cases here in Texas very carefully. We've been praying and seeking the Lord's counsel for direction regarding meeting together and how we can do our part in stemming the tide of new cases, and how we can keep our people safe. A big part of our conversation is the new requirement given in Tarrant County that everyone will be asked to wear a face mask. The level of risk is clearly gone up again.

As we continue to talk to those in our medical community and look for the best and safest ways for our buildings to be accessible for worship services, we have prayerfully decided to move our worship services back to online only for the next few weeks for all campuses. Given the increase in COVID-19 cases, we simply want to provide the healthiest worship environment possible. This is not fear, mind you. It is an abundance of caution motivated by love for the most vulnerable among us.

Now, this isn't our first rodeo being totally online. We couldn't say that a few months ago, but we've learned that we can make this happen. We can do it. We know that the most important thing is for all of us to stay spiritually and relationally connected as a church family. So please check your specific campus page for times and ways to connect.

Now, as this situation progresses, we'll stay on top of the situation and we'll let you know what's going on week to week. In the meantime, there are a few things you can do to help us.

  1. Pray: Pray for our nation, state, and local government leaders, doctors, medical personnel, and researchers as they navigate this difficult season.
  2. Serve: Stay tuned to the website and our social media so you can see ways where you can help and serve in ways that are a blessing and not a danger to you or the people we're trying to help. We are being both courageous and wise in our approach, and the situation changes daily so stay posted and stay ready to help.
  3. Give: Be faithful in your giving. We have a digital option for giving via compass.church/give, or the Compass App. Your generosity allows us to continue to navigate people to God.
  4. Stay Connected: Make sure you and your family stay faithful to worship through the weekend experiences offered here at Compass.

Now, depending on the campus you attend, you can catch those on Thursday, Saturday, and Sundays. Also, don't forget about Compass Daily, Monday through Friday at 8am Central Standard Time, or on-demand via the Compass App or YouTube.

We love you guys, we're trusting our great God, and our best days are squarely ahead of us. Be safe and we'll see you soon.
